Frequently Asked Questions
Last updated September 11, 2026
How this site works, how we are paid, and what happens to the details you give us. If your question is not here, our Terms and Privacy Policy go into more depth.
What is Savvymints?
Savvymints is an independent, advertising-supported comparison service. We gather credit card offers in one place — annual fee, rewards rate, intro offer and our own rating — so you can weigh them side by side instead of visiting a dozen bank websites.
We are not a bank, lender or card issuer. Every card shown is offered by a third party, and any application you make is between you and that issuer.
Does it cost anything to use?
No. The Site is free to use. We never charge you for comparing offers or for being connected to an issuer.
How do you make money?
Advertising. The companies whose products appear here pay us — usually when you click through to them or complete an application.
That compensation can affect which cards we feature and the order they appear in. It does not change the factual details we publish about a card, and it is never a promise that a card is right for you. We also do not cover every product on the market.
How are your ratings decided?
Our star ratings weigh the value of the rewards, the annual fee and other costs, the size and difficulty of the intro offer, and the everyday perks a cardholder actually gets.
They are editorial opinions, meant as a general starting point. They are not personalised to your income, spending or credit history — two people can reasonably rank the same two cards differently.
Why do you ask for my email address and phone number?
Your email unlocks the offer details and lets us send you the deals you asked about. If you also give a phone number, it is used to verify your enquiry and connect you with the partner behind the offer.
By giving a phone number you agree to be contacted at it about those offers, including by automated dialling or a pre-recorded voice. That consent is never a condition of buying anything, and you can withdraw it at any time.
What do you do with my information?
We use it to show you offers, to contact you about them, and to pass your enquiry to the advertising partner responsible for that offer. We also use technical details such as your IP address and device type to keep the Site secure and to prevent duplicate or fraudulent submissions.
The full detail — including who we share data with and how long we keep it — is in our Privacy Policy.
How do I stop hearing from you?
Use the unsubscribe link in any email we send, reply STOP to a text, or tell a caller to stop contacting you. You can also contact us directly and we will remove you.
One thing worth knowing: once your enquiry has been passed to an advertising partner, you will need to contact that partner separately to opt out of their communications, because they hold their own copy of it.
Will applying for a card affect my credit score?
Browsing Savvymints does not affect your credit score. Submitting a full card application usually results in a hard inquiry by the issuer, which can lower your score slightly for a time.
Whether an inquiry is soft or hard is entirely the issuer's decision, and their application page will say so. Check there before you apply.
Am I guaranteed to get the offer shown?
No. Approval, your credit limit, your interest rate and the exact welcome bonus you receive are decided by the issuer based on your own circumstances. Some welcome offers also vary by applicant.
The figures on this page describe the offer as advertised, not the terms you personally will be given.
How current is the information?
We review listings regularly, but issuers change rates, fees and bonuses frequently and do not always tell us in advance.
Always confirm the details on the issuer's own website before applying. Their terms are the ones that count.
A card detail looks wrong. How do I report it?
Please tell us — accuracy matters to us. Email [[SUPPORT EMAIL]] with the card name and what looks incorrect, and we will check it against the issuer's current terms.
How do I contact you?
Email [[SUPPORT EMAIL]]. For privacy requests — access, correction or deletion of your data — use the contact details in our Privacy Policy so your request reaches the right place.
Still need help?
Email us at [[SUPPORT EMAIL]] and we will get back to you.
